The Los Angeles Rams have created a short film titled “Thursday” as a playful tribute to the classic 1995 film Friday.
The video is to promote this week’s NFL Draft.
O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Destin Tucker were cast as Craig and Smokey, the iconic characters originally portrayed by their fathers, Ice Cube and Chris Tucker.
The characters explore a neighborhood filled with Rams-related Easter eggs.
Terry Crews, a former Rams player from the early ‘90s, steals the spotlight as he showcases his character Deebo alongside Rams linebackers Jared Verse and Byron Young.
Crews replicates the classic “What chain?” scene, where he humorously steals a Rams ring from Tucker.
The film includes several notable cameos, including rapper YG as Stanley and Rams guard Kevin Dotson as “Big K-Dot,” who delivers a standout line referencing the emotional ups and downs of draft picks.
The film concludes with the tagline “A lot can go down between Thursday and Saturday.”
