J. Cole is walking back his previous claims that his upcoming album, “The Fall-Off,” will be his final project.

During the initial rollout for the album, Cole made it seem like retirement was inevitable and that he was completely stepping away from music.

However, after finishing the record and wrapping up a highly successful tour, Cole realized he cannot commit to calling it quits.

During a conversation with music executive Mark Pitts and writer Frazier Tharpe, Cole revealed the truth about his future plans.

Cole said that while he originally thought the album would be his last, his mindset shifted by the time he finished recording.

He explained, “Nah, I’ll never say I’m going to retire.”

Cole added that while he doesn’t know when his next project will happen, he knows the appetite to create will return.
