Kendrick Lamar made history at the 2026 Grammy Awards by becoming the most awarded rapper ever.
K Dot surpassed Jay-Z with 27 Grammy wins after securing four awards, including Record of the Year for “Luther,” and Best Rap Album for GNX.
Lamar entered the ceremony with nine nominations, the highest for any artist this year, and tied Jay-Z for Grammy wins before ultimately taking the lead with his additional wins.
During the night, he won Best Rap Performance for “Chains & Whips,” Best Melodic Rap Performance for “Luther,” and Best Rap Song for “TV Off.”
