Nia Long Gets Hollywood Star

Nia Long received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday, celebrating 3 decades of iconic work in film and television.

During the ceremony, Long shared the honor with her family, especially her mother, Talita Long, who raised her in South Central Los Angeles while working as a bus driver.

Long said she views herself as a storyteller and acknowledged that her Hollywood success represents the collective achievements of generations of women in her family.

Snoop Dogg and producer Graham King spoke at the event to honor her massive list of hits, including “Boyz n the Hood,” “Love Jones,” and the recent “Michael” biopic.

Looking ahead, Long teased an upcoming Netflix film with Larenz Tate and mentioned a new script for a possible “Friday” sequel.

Long concluded the ceremony by focusing on her long-term career consistency, saying the star serves as a testament to her family’s journey and her Caribbean roots.
