Nicki Minaj has publicly blasted journalist Don Lemon on social media over his coverage of a church incident.

The controversy centers on Lemon’s reporting of anti-ICE protesters storming a Sunday worship service at Cities Church in Minnesota. Protesters claimed the pastor was allegedly an ICE agent, which led to the confrontation during the service.

Footage (watch here) reportedly shows Lemon involved in the coverage, with some claiming he entered the church during the sermon.

In a fiery response, Minaj shared a picture of the horror character Chucky and called Lemon “disgusting.”, She explicitly said, “I want that thug in jail,” referring to Lemon, and added, “Lock him up!”, Minaj also accused Lemon of religious bias, claiming he would “never do that to any other religion.”

Nicki also called Lemon a homophobic slur.

Lemon replied on Instagram, “I’m not surprised Nicki Minaj does not understand journalism and is weighing in on matters that are above her capacity.”
