Every year, one of the most popular new year’s resolutions people set is to lose weight and get fit. But just before 2020 ended, the ongoing spread of COVID-19 lead to the closure of gyms across Ontario.
Although, that does not mean that those who have a new year’s resolution to get in shape, or those simply looking to stay in shape for the time being, can’t be achieved.
Here are FIVE FREE fitness influencer programs you can do safely, from the comfort of your own home, without any equipment. In line with the latest stay-at-home orders.
Cassey Ho is a certified fitness instructor based in Los Angeles and is the creator of Blogilates, the no.1 female fitness channel on YouTube. The Blogilates channel started out as a simple YouTube channel where she would upload Pilates workouts to pop music, eventually coining the term ‘poppilates’.
Since then, Blogilates has transformed into a Pilates empire with Popflex active wear and yoga mats, cheap clean eats and more recently Blogilates mats, weights, water bottles and more becoming available to purchase at Target. Blogilates offers a free monthly workout program, where Cassey plans each day for you, usually starting with a warmup before heading into some lean muscle building and cardio that you can do at home with just your bodyweight. She also tends to incorporate dance into some of her cardio routines as well, if that’s your thing, and offers a beginners program alongside a few other programs if you’re not feeling the monthly calendar.
The Blogilates website also includes a ton of free recipes to help with clean eating, as well as a blog where Cassey can get pretty real about body image and working out.

You can choose whatever challenge you’d like to do at home via Chloe’s YouTube channel, while she guides you through a range of movements for 30 – 60 seconds, back-to-back with few breaks in between. Sometimes Chloe will incorporate resistance bands as well, which you can purchase on her website, and she also offers free healthy recipes on her website as well.
