By Aaron Zaretsky Do you have a handful of apps lying idle on your phone? Perhaps it’s time to clear the space and make room for some new apps. With that being said, new apps can get lost in the shuffle. But do not worry. Below are FIVE new apps that are worth downloading - and best of all - they are FREE! PlayJ is an enhanced interactive video chat app that is very easy to use and is free. How it works is you and another person video call each other and the rest of the screen can display whatever it is both of you want to do. You can play games – excellent for two-person game streaming – and watch videos. It is like you are on the same sofa but possibly thousands of kilometers a part! PlayJ is only available through Android software 5.0 and up on Google Play, and content rating is for everyone. Currently, this app is in beta right now and still under development so expect some bugs. However, PlayJ can be the next biggest video chat app. With Film Streaming VF you can watch the latest Hollywood movies, television series, documentaries, and cartoons in French for free and unlimited! They can also be watched in English or with English subtitles. This application allows you to watch the content of your movie or series as it is downloaded; its flexibility allows you to watch multiple movies or episodes in unlimited while saving time on the download. Plus, films and episodes update daily. The platform offers a simple and clear homepage enabling you to wander with ease in its cinematographic catalog. Film Streaming VF is only available through Android software 4.4 and up on Google Play, and content rating is for everyone. Light-It Up Light up 2019 with the Light-It Up app! This is a game, rated for everyone, where you are a small stick person in a dark world. Your objective is to light up the world by jumping, flipping, and sliding from one neon colour shape to another making them glow. Increase your score by collecting stars but watch out for “sticky” situations as colour shapes rotate and explode, and lethal spikes will appear. If a spike hits you or your miss a jump or flip, you fall into oblivion! Are you ready to light-it up? If so, then download the free app (offers in-app purchases) through the Apple Store, requiring iOS 9.0 or later, or Google Play, requiring Android 4.1 and up. Bookful is a children’s application that uses 3D augmented reality animations and experiences to bring books to life! Using the magic of technology, this interactive reading experience will kindle a passion in children for books. This powerful reading tool will help children connect with plot and characters, improve reading comprehension, and engage visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners. Also, this app provides information that extends beyond the pages of the book, enhancing a child’s memory and imagination! Bookful offers in-app purchases and content rating is for everyone. Bookful is only available through the Apple Store, requiring iOS 12.0 or later. Just a Line If you love to create giant doodles or thought of making one, Google’s Just a Line application is perfect. Using augmented reality, you can make easy line drawings on your phone with the tip of your finger and the canvas being your current space. How this app works is that you create your giant doodle first, hit the record button, and then share it with the world! If you and a friend use the app simultaneously, you can collaborate on a drawing. Just a Line is available on the Apple Store, requiring iOS 11.3 or later, and available on Google Play, requiring Android 7.0 and up.
These five free new apps are excellent and provide something for everyone! All of these apps are not available on every device and software, so it is understandable if you cannot download them all. But if you can, awesome, as you won’t regret it! |
