By Michael Cadoch It’s that time of year again. Time to say goodbye to those crazy carefree summer nights of partying, and to get back into study mode. While the switch may not sound completely appealing it does not have to be all bad. With a new school year comes new opportunities to show off some cool trends and a new chance to reinvent yourself. Here are some new trends to take on this school year, and which trends you may want to leave in last year’s closet. The Do's 1. Straight Outta Bed Outfit Let’s face it, as much as you want to be optimistic and know that you will make it for that 8 AM class and have ample time to get ready, it’s most probably not gonna happen, which is why every college guy needs the essential “straight out of bed” outfit. Slap on a beanie with any slightly oversized sweater for a laid-back yet very Instagram-friendly aesthetic. 2. From Day to Night Outfit A lot of guys are afraid to take that step of wearing non-casual shoes to school, but fear not. The magic of the Chelsea boot is that is can be dressed up and dressed down. Add a pair of black Chelsea boots with a dark-coloured bomber jacket and some skinny jeans for that preppy and stylish feel, and make all your classmates turn their heads (in a good way of course)! 3. Classic Denim The denim shirt has been around for a few generations now, and isn’t going anywhere. Pair any denim shirt with a graphic tee and a dad hat, and you’ll look and feel flyer than any other guy on campus. The Don'ts 1. Trashy Yet Classy? Fellas! This should be self-explanatory but please guys, keep the sneakers for the casual wear and leave the whole trashy yet classy thing for Justin Bieber. 2. The Hammer What? I know the ‘90s are back and all, but the Hammer pants? They can stay in 1992, where they belong.
