Tekashi69: the Kid Taking Over NYC

Brooklyn Rapper Tekashi69 also known as 6ix9ine has recently risen to prominence in the city of New York. The popularity of Tekashi69 has grown significantly this year through his collaborations with other famous artists such as Famous Dex, J Stash, and Trippie Redd.

Since the release of “Gummo” 6ix9ine is becoming more and more popular by the minute. The song has reached over 18 million plays on Soundcloud and over 38 million views on YouTube. In the past two weeks, 6ix9ine's “Gummo” record debuted at #58 on the billboard hot 100 charts, and it has since risen to #29 making it a top 40 single in the country.

Currently, the Brooklyn rapper had finally dropped his new single "Kooda" that he was teasing since the beginning of November. The snippet of the “Kooda” music video, which 6ix9ine posted on his Instagram has reached close to 4 million views to date. Now that the wait is over the Internet can finally rejoice.

Right now the atmosphere of New York is that this rainbow-haired rapper has attained the status of "Next to Blow”.  The only question now is whether “Kooda” will be bigger than “Gummo”?
