Tense moments are ahead this Friday as Sean “Diddy” Combs will be sentenced after being found guilty on two counts of transportation for prostitution in July.
Combs was found not guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
The prosecution in the case filed a brief on Monday requesting that Combs spend no less than 135 months in jail. That would be just over 11 years.
The prosecuting attorneys wrote, “Incredibly, while the defendant conceded his acts of violence and abuse throughout trial, he now argues that his victims should shoulder the blame. The defendant tries to recast decades of abuse as simply the function of mutually toxic relationships. But there is nothing mutual about a relationship where one person holds all the power and the other ends up bloodied and bruised.”
Diddy’s lawyers are seeking a sentence of only 14 months in jail.
