Parent company Coca-Cola says the move reflects a shift in consumer habits toward ready-to-drink options.

The phase-out is occurring through the first quarter of 2026. While some cans may remain in freezer aisles for a short time, retailers will not be restocked once their current inventory is exhausted.

The product has a deep history, originally developed during World War II to provide soldiers with Vitamin C. It served as a much better-tasting alternative to the bitter lemon crystals previously given to troops.

Following the war, these frozen cans became an iconic breakfast staple and were credited with helping build the Florida citrus industry into the powerhouse it is today.

The discontinuation covers all frozen varieties, including orange juice, lemonade, and limeade.
