It appears the aesthetic switch-up is tied to the celebration of the megastar’s 20 years in the spotlight. Her label, Roc Nation, shared a post on Instagram marking the anniversary of her debut album, Music of the Sun.
“20 years with you. This Friday marks 20 years since Rihanna released her debut album. #R20,” they wrote in the caption.
The video highlighted Rihanna’s remarkable music career.

Rihanna’s close to giving birth to her 3rd child with A$AP Rocky, so promoting an album doesn’t seem like the right time.
