Snoop Dogg and Daz Dillinger Fight Over Publishing Rights

Snoop Dogg and Daz Dillinger are cousins who are in conflict over publishing rights related to their work with Death Row Records.

Daz claims he was removed from the label by Snoop after refusing to surrender ownership of his music.

Daz publicly accused Snoop of trying to trademark his work to sell it to Universal and of disrespecting him behind closed doors.

Daz accused Snoop of trying to manipulate their relationship using business leverage.

Snoop responded by threatening to harm Daz’s business-wise, not physically, and called him broke.

Both Snoop and Daz have hinted at past tension in their relationship, with Snoop alluding to it in 2013 and Daz calling him a “bully cousin” in 2023.

DJ Mel Boogie

Hailing from Toronto, DJ MelBoogie is one of Canada’s most renowned female DJs, with a career spanning over 30 years. Known for her contributions to community and music organizations, she made history as the DJ for the 2023 JUNO Awards’ tribute to 50 years of hip-hop, sharing the stage with Canadian icons like Kardinal Offishall, Michie Mee, and Choclair in a performance watched by 2.2 million viewers nationwide.

As chair of the JUNO Rap Advisory Board, MelBoogie has worked to amplify women’s voices in the industry.
