Snoop Dogg Returns to Host 2026 MTV Video Music Awards

Snoop Dogg is officially hosting the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on September 27th.

He is no stranger to the iconic awards show, holding 13 career nominations and 3 wins.

He first performed on the VMA stage in 1994 and later joined Dr. Dre and Eminem for massive closing sets.

Snoop Dogg called the new gig a full-circle moment and said, “MTV and the VMAs have been part of my story since the beginning.”

He also said the network gave hip-hop a place to be loud, fearless, and seen by the whole world.

The event will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, marking the first time the show has returned to the West Coast since 2017.
