  • This year’s 50 top earners collected an estimated $4.23 billion (before taxes and fees), crushing last year’s estimated total of $3.88 billion. The new total includes $1.04 billion from athletes’ endorsements, appearances and other business endeavors.

  • 6. Lakers veteran LeBron James! Estimated earnings: $133.8 million
  • 5. Lionel Messi, star of Argentina and Inter Miami earned $135 million
  • 4. Cowboys QB Dak Prescott! Estimated earnings: $137 million
  • 3. Heavyweight champ Tyson Fury! Estimated earnings: $146 million
  • 2. Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry earned $156 million
  • Cristiano Ronaldo topped the world’s highest-paid athletes list for the third consecutive year and the fifth time in his career. Ronaldo’s estimated total earnings are around $275 million
