There will be a new NBA champion in 2026.

The 2026 NBA Finals are officially set, and it is a historic showdown between the San Antonio Spurs and the red-hot New York Knicks.

San Antonio crushed the Oklahoma City Thunder’s hopes of winning back-to-back championships on Saturday to reach the Finals for the first time since 2014.

The Spurs advanced despite having a roster with virtually no playoff experience, heavily driven by their young trio of Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle, and Dylan Harper.

Wembanyama is having a dominant postseason run, even drawing comparisons to a young LeBron James after delivering a massive 41-point and 24-rebound performance in Game 1 against the Thunder.

In their way are the Knicks, who reached the Finals for the first time since 1999 by ripping off 11 straight playoff victories with a historic plus-262 point differential.

That incredible 11-game run stands as the greatest point-differential stretch by any team in the NBA’s 80-year history.

Led by Jalen Brunson, the Knicks are looking to capture their first championship in 53 years and finally give their passionate fan base a legendary parade through Manhattan.

Game one of the Finals is on Wednesday night. You can watch on ABC.
