The Trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs Starts Today: What To Know

The trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs begins today (Monday, May 5th) as jury selection begins.
Last September, Combs was arrested in New York City after being indicted on one count of racketeering conspiracy, one count of sex trafficking, and one count of transportation to engage in prostitution. Additional trafficking and prostitution charges were added last month.
Combs has pleaded not guilty.
The charges came after the highly publicized raids on Diddy’s homes in Miami and Los Angeles in March 2024.
Prosecutors claim Combs engaged in coerced sexual activity at parties called “freak-offs.”
There will be no cameras allowed in the courtroom.

Hailing from Toronto, DJ MelBoogie is one of Canada’s most renowned female DJs, with a career spanning over 30 years.
