A$AP Rocky Defends ‘Helicopter$’ Amid AI Controversy

A$AP Rocky has denied that his music video for “Helicopter$,” was created using artificial intelligence.

Rocky said the visual is “NOT Ai GENERATED” and is “JUST GENERATIONAL.”

The ambitious video, directed by Dan Streit, features a surreal, animated cityscape filled with police chases and chaotic scenes, drawing inspiration from early 2000s video game aesthetics like Grand Theft Auto.

“Helicopter$” is set to appear on Rocky’s forthcoming album, *Don’t Be Dumb*, which is expected to be released on January 16th.

DJ Mel Boogie

Hailing from Toronto, DJ MelBoogie is one of Canada’s most renowned female DJs, with a career spanning over 30 years. Known for her contributions to community and music organizations, she made history as the DJ for the 2023 JUNO Awards’ tribute to 50 years of hip-hop, sharing the stage with Canadian icons like Kardinal Offishall, Michie Mee, and Choclair in a performance watched by 2.2 million viewers nationwide.
