Janet Jackson to be Honored with Prestigious ICON Award

Dick Clark Productions announced that Award-winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame®️ Inductee and philanthropist Janet Jackson will receive the prestigious ICON Award at the “2025 American Music Awards,” an honor bestowed upon an artist whose music has had undeniable cultural and global influence over the music industry. The global phenomenon and 11-time American Music Award-winner, will also take to the stage, marking her first television performance since 2018. This year’s American Music Awards will kick off summer with host Jennifer Lopez live from the all-new luxury resort, Fontainebleau Las Vegas, on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26.

DJ Mel Boogie

Hailing from Toronto, DJ MelBoogie is one of Canada’s most renowned female DJs, with a career spanning over 30 years. Known for her contributions to community and music organizations, she made history as the DJ for the 2023 JUNO Awards’ tribute to 50 years of hip-hop, sharing the stage with Canadian icons like Kardinal Offishall, Michie Mee, and Choclair in a performance watched by 2.2 million viewers nationwide.

As chair of the JUNO Rap Advisory Board, MelBoogie has worked to amplify women’s voices in the industry.
