Questlove received the 2025 Peabody Trailblazer Award last Friday in Los Angeles.

Quinta Brunson presented the award to the musician and filmmaker.

The award “recognizes visionaries whose innovative storytelling styles impact culture and effect social change.”

During his acceptance speech, Questlove told creators to push past doubt and follow their instincts. He said, “Now is the time more than ever… because it’s cathartic, it’s therapeutic, but it’s necessary. And right now, joy is an act of rebellion, so I thank you for celebrating me with this honor.”
