The “Snowfall” Spinoff Has A Premiere Date

FX has announced that “The Drop: A Snowfall Saga,” a spinoff of the original series “Snowfall,” will premiere on September 8th.

The eight-episode series follows characters Wanda Bell and Leon Simmons as they navigate life in 1990s Los Angeles, focusing on the rise of West Coast rap in the aftermath of the crack epidemic.

The series features a supporting cast that includes Asante Blackk, Peyton Alex Smith, Mykelti Williamson, Nicki Micheaux, Brandon Mychal Smith, and Quincy Chad, who reprises his role from “Snowfall” as Big Deon.

The production teams behind “The Drop” include executive producers Malcolm Spellman, Dave Andron, and others associated with “Snowfall.”
